Rose Ann Vuich Park is alive this week with Dinuba’s most popular community event — the annual Raisin Day Harvest Festival.

Four days of a carnival midway attraction at the north end of the park begin on Thursday, Sept. 22. The carnival area features rides including Ferris wheel, roller coaster, swing rides and spinning rides along with the usual carnival games and attractions.

The park will have events planned daily through Sunday, Sept. 25. The weekend is highlighted by processional parades — both downtown and at the park — beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Honorees include this year’s new Miss Dinuba, Sydney Vela, and court along with the Cinco De Mayo court. Activites will run into the evening each night.

Carnival tickets, priced at $30 (cash only), can be purchased until 4 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Dinuba Chamber of Commerce (210 N. L St.), Circle K on El Monte Way and R&R Rental Properties (across from Family Dollar in Orosi).

Two weeks from this weekend, Reedley will be hosting its annual Reedley Fiesta celebration downtown, including a Saturday, Oct. 8, parade along G Street.
